Raleigh Fashion Fest, the ultimate local fashion, food & shopping experience, hosted its Spring 2023 event on Wednesday, May 17th in Smoky Hollow Raleigh from 5pm – 9pm!

For Spring ’23, Raleigh is Growing partnered with our friends at Truss Vet for a fun new feature to the RFF lineup, A PET FASHION SHOW showcasing our furry friends on the runway benefiting The Grey Muzzle Organization to help local elderly pets in need.

Truss Vet has reimagined the animal hospital experience and bridges the gap in care between general practices and emergency hospitals, entering a new category: veterinary urgent care. When you sense that something is wrong with your dog or cat, and it’s not a life-threatening emergency, come and see Truss Vet! Offering same-day reservations, walk-in appointments, and extended hours.

The Grey Muzzle Organization improves the lives of at-risk senior dogs by providing funding and resources to animal shelters, rescue organizations, sanctuaries, and other non-profit groups nationwide. We are not a shelter or rescue group. Rather, Grey Muzzle funds programs such as hospice care, senior dog adoption, medical screening, and other special programs to help old dogs at animal welfare organizations across the count.

In addition, RFF had a huge finale Collaborative Fashion Show featuring looks from local boutiques and vendors who popped up in Smoky Hollow for the event, directed by Models for Charity to give back to The Women’s Center. Thank you to our makeup and hair team from Hush Salon. Balloon and Flower Wall by RaleighPOP Balloons. And music by DJ Cody Daniels from Bunn DJ Co.

The Women’s Center provides at-risk and homeless women with the critical and necessary support services and programming that empower each individual life to break cycles of poverty, homelessness, and unmanaged mental health. Through WC’s holistic and caring approach, women secure safe & permanent housing, learn to become self-governing and establish fulfilling and dignified lives.

Another element of the event was our silent auction raising funds for both our charity partners. Thank you to all our donors, volunteers, and event sponsors for helping us raise funds and awareness for The Women’s Center and The Grey Muzzle Organization while supporting our local fashion community.

Raleigh Fashion Fest also debuted its Taste of Smoky Hollow Passport exclusively for our VIPs featuring interactive experiences from Hush Salon, New Anthem, Madre, Midwood Smokehouse, Trophy/Young Hearts, and Milk Lab.

Additional experiences included chair massages from The NOW, live music from Say Less The Band, video ops from Triangle Twirl, poetry on the spot from Poetry Fox, axe throwing from Crazy Axe + live painting from Kreativityyy.

Guests were able to shop locally owned boutiques and businesses while strolling through Smoky Hollow during Raleigh Fashion Fest, sipping on beverages and bites from Melanated Wine, Umbrella Dry Bar, V Pizza and Coca Forte.
